We Are Hiring for the 2024 Season!
Part-time Farm Hand
Sauntering Roots Farm is a small-scale, diversified vegetable farm established, owned, and operated by Phoebe Autry and Brandi Jo Nyberg in Palmer, Alaska beginning in 2023. The two owners co-farm on small properties owned by each, with about one-half of an acre in intensive vegetable production.
We are seeking a part-time farm hand for the 2024 season starting in May, running through September.
The farm hand will work on a wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to, building new garden beds, preparing beds for planting, transplanting, weeding, and harvesting and washing vegetables for a weekly farmers market and CSA. The position works directly under both co-owners.
The farm operates on two separate locations, both located approximately 5 minutes from downtown Palmer. Working location each day will vary depending on the weekly task list.
